Nancy Blachly has been a licensed massage therapist since 1984 with Nevada State Massage License and City of South Lake Tahoe Massage permit, a 22+ year member of the American Massage Therapy Association, and is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, NCTMB. After graduating Magna cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin with a pre-med focus in human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology, and a Phi Beta Sigma award for distinguished scholarship, and then teaching High School for several years, she decided to “go be one of the ski people because they’re happy!” One of the early pioneers and first licensed massage therapist in South Lake Tahoe, she instituted and taught massage therapy at the Lake Tahoe Community Collage in addition to her private practice with clients from all walks of life – from movie sets to camp sites, and from sports stars to film, television, and music recording celebrities to golf, ski, and cycling professionals. Her additional training includes neuromuscular deep tissue release, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Myofascial Pain, lymphatic massage, Emotional Freedom Technique, Inter-dimensional Healing, acupressure vortex points, and Complimentary and Alternative Medicine Research. She’s also been a certified BioAcoustic Research Associate since 2002, working with sound frequency and vibration as a healing modality. As a way of sharing her knowledge and experience with others, she formed An Association of Massage Therapists in 1997.
Kathi Cross earned a Commercial Art Degree from Orange Coast College and received her certification training at Diamond Light School of Massage in 1998. After additional training in Magnetic Healing from Esclepion Healing Center in San Rafael and becoming a Certified Amanae Emotional Release Practitioner, she joined our group in 2000. Kathi also practices Jin Shin Jyutsu and loves using her skills to help others “be in their body,” relax, and allow their body to heal as they feel more like themselves again.
Julie Horbach graduated from the Ralston School of Massage in 1989, the same year she completed training in Sports Massage – corrective exercise and athletic massage techniques, Accupressure – facelift and natural skin care, and Touch for Health certification – to improve postural balance and reduce physical and mental pain and tension. In 1995 she earned certification as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, was certified as a Rebirther in 1997, and in 1998 became certified in Natural Health and Aromatherapy, Advanced Massage and Deep Tissue Techniques. Additionally, Julie has completed training in Traditional Chinese Medical Theory, Reflexology, Assessment and Treatment of Fibromyalgia and Arthritis, Myopathic Muscular Therapy, and Acupressure Energetics...and she’s a Reiki Master! She holds a State Massage License in Nevada and Massage Permit in the City of South Lake Tahoe, CA. Her specialty is Deep Tissue Massage and Sports Injury bodywork.
Tiffany Mallin trained at the Sun Coast Center for Natural Health School of Massage Therapy in Tampa, Florida where she earned certification in Massage Therapy and Hydrotherapy in 1991. Her further training has been in Sports Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Aromatherapy, and Aron Mattes Stretching, and her specialty is Deep Tissue Sports Massage. Tiffany owned her own massage company in Stowe, VT for 15 years before joining our group.
Summer Egland graduated from the University of Wisconsin with double majors and Distinctive honors in both. Trained at the Physician’s Institute of Therapeutic Massage and Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), she is also a Reiki Master. Summer’s ability to feel and listen to a client’s body as she takes them into a healing trance helps her sense what she can best do to help them relax and rejuvenate. Building trust quickly with her kind, professional demeanor and strong, sensitive hands, she combines Swedish massage with Hawaiian Lomilomi and deep tissue work, incorporating deeper point work with gliding strokes, friction, and energy healing. Summer left a successful private practice in Kihei, Hawaii to settle in Lake Tahoe.
